A secret tip for cyclists! You will be amazed by the solitary and tranquil nature, dotted with picturesque half-timbered villages and large natural reserves. Stroll through cornered alleys of historic University City Marburg with famous Elisabeth church. Visit the city of Goethe, Wetzlar, with Lotte’s house and the old iron-ore mine Fortuna. Explore residential city Weilburg with impressive castle and the completely protected old town of Limburg with the famous dome. Stop at monastery Arnstein and historic Inn on Lahn before you reach Bad Ems, one of the most beautiful and traditional health baths of Germany. Enjoy a cycle tour to Loreley and the river cruise from St. Goar to traditional wine-grower town Braubach. This cycle tour allows enough time for everybody to visit the many points of interest in Lahn valley.

Itinerary

Take in the beautiful surroundings to Weilburg, where the renaissance castle stands in solitary splendour on a high rock above river Lahn.

Wedged in between the heights of Taunis and Westerwald the river winds its way. You cycle on the asphalted Lein path via Aumenau and Runkel to Limburg with famous dome.
